Why Study Japanese?

 I'm studying Japanese in the University of Notre Dame because I have always been in love with the culture, the uniqueness of the language, anime, manga, and I'm interested in doing a study abroad in Japan in my Sophomore year. In addition to this I'm excited to see my progress throughout the semester as I slowly begin to further learn and understand the language better.
